The OpenAIRE General Assembly of the year 2019 took place in Paris on the 9th to the 11th of December. Project partners met at the Bibliothèque universitaire des langues et civilisations in order of discuss the project and to make plans for the upcoming year. Taskforces had the time to present their work and to get useful feedback for the consortium for upcoming tasks. It was a full 3-day meeting that left everyone satisfied with a full agenda for 2020.
OpenAire wants to shift scholarly communication towards openness and transparency and facilitate innovative ways to communicate and monitor research. Its vision is to transform society through validated scientific knowledge and thus allow citizens, educators, funders, civil servants and industry find ways to make science useful for themselves, their working environments, the society.
