The rAn challenges are here!!
Join the Scratch programming webinar on the 10th of February at 16h CET! Participate in the contest to create your own mini-games and you may find your work integrated in the main game of the project. Moreover, you will win digital badges and have your games for sure disseminated in the project’s website, despite your classification.
As you may already know, the rAn team has launched a Scratch Game programming contest.
We will offer a free of charge webinar for all the interested teachers that have never worked with Scratch or would like to get to know better its affordances. This will be fully supported by the University of Thessaly and experienced tutors. The webinar will be held in English and a certification of participation will also be issued. You can register here.
A little bit about rAn
rAn is an innovative project that will bring a new way of learning about natural disasters to primary education. Gaming and playing are very effective ways of deep learning and we aim at providing an engaging and inspiring game for the students. The rAn game will bring primary education students a series of mini-challenges about natural disasters. Students will discover four cities, each facing a different natural disaster: Flood, Fire, Storm and Earthquake. In each city, they will learn what these disasters are, how they are caused, how to prevent them and how to act in their occurrence.
